Eight fully discrete, matched-transistor digitally controlled preamps are responsible for the PRE’s incredibly transparent sound. This highly flexible circuitry easily accommodates mic, line, and direct instrument signals. Although you can access its settings directly from its front panel (allowing you to use it purely as an outboard multichannel preamp), you can keep your Avid PRE located comfortably in your rack, remotely controlling its settings entirely from within Pro Tools | HD or an Avid control surface.
